The Movie Game

There's a new movie game called "Famous Objects from Classic Movies" that I've been playing here and there -- it's actually really fun. It can be easy, but there have been a few that have totally stumped me.

My family is obsessed with movie trivia. We play the all the time in the car on long trips -- this would be fun if someone brought along an iPad.

I also love all the pictures that represent each movie -- the images remind me of the Lost posters I adored back in the day.

So Bad, Yet So Good

I have seen some fun baking blogs around the web lately, and decided to pick a few recipes to try to expand my repertoire. I'm also testing out a few different Super Bowl snack ideas and I think that I found a winner. I present to you oreo-stuffed chocolate chip cookies. I think the picture says enough.

Rozie, a Model Dog

A good friend tipped me off to a very talented animal photographer who was looking to build up her portfolio and was having an open photo shoot one weekend in the city. Obviously I signed Rozie up right away -- turns out she was born to model!

Shaina just uploaded Rozie's pictures -- they will be available for viewing for a month, so get 'em while they're hot!

What's Up With That?

This infographic displays some of the bizarre animal deaths that have been taking place all over the world in the short month of January.

I'm not sure what's happening, but it's freaking me out. Especially the dead fish that washed up on the shores of New Zealand -- most of them missing eyeballs. What's up with that?

This Little Piggy Got Braised

Can we talk about this sandwich for a second? It looks like something I want to eat. Right now.

According to NY Mag: "The squishy, slightly sweet pizza-dough bun is baked in-house. The tomatoes are roasted, which means the T is available year-round. And the one-two punch of applewood-smoked bacon and thick braised pork belly makes this our favorite BLT in this BLT-saturated town."

There's a lot more where this came from -- for more of the best pork in town, click here.
